Islandry670

(Saipan, MP) Tian “Cindy” Wang is the owner of Islandry670 – a company, specializing in handmade, island-inspired jewelry. Islandry670 had a slow start when starting up and needed help to pick up sales. A friend recommended that she see CNMI SBDC for assistance – and as an NMC student at the time, she found it convenient that CNMI SBDC was located on campus.

Cindy came to CNMI SBDC wanting to know what services could help expand Islandry670. She found great help and progress through CNMI SBDC’s counseling services. Just after her first session, Cindy already felt like she was pointed in the right direction to catapult Islandry670 to what it is today.

Since becoming a client with CNMI SBDC, Islandry670 has expanded, showcasing its products at SBDC small business nights, CNMI Liberation Day Festival Grounds, the Taste of the Marianas, and the Flame Tree Festival.

Islandry670 has also landed multiple consignments with 670 Rocksteady Shop, The Shack, Marianas Creations, The Pacific Supply, Next Level Thrift Shop, Judi’s Place, and just recently, Marianas Pharmacy.

Cindy intends to stick with CNMI SBDC for more counseling. She hopes to land more consignments for Islandry670 and open an online shop in the future.

The CNMI SBDC Network promotes a business-friendly economic infrastructure in the community, builds entrepreneurial capacity and financial literacy within that community, and provides current and nascent small businesses with the technical assistance, counseling, training, and support they need to innovate, adapt, and grow.
