Tinian SBDC to Host Training on Government Contracting: Crafting Capabilities Statements

(Tinian, CNMI) The Tinian Small Business Development Center announces a comprehensive training session designed to assist local entrepreneurs and businesses in crafting effective capabilities statements. This no-cost training opportunity, presented by Tinian businessman and President of the Tinian Chamber of Commerce, Phillip Mendiola-Long, aims to empower attendees with the necessary skills to enhance their business profiles and compete more effectively for Department of Defense contracts and opportunities.

Capabilities statements serve as crucial marketing tools for businesses, especially when seeking government contracts or partnerships with larger corporations. Crafting an impactful capabilities statement can significantly enhance a company’s visibility and credibility, opening doors to new opportunities for growth and success.

The training session will cover essential elements of a capabilities statement, including:

  • Understanding the purpose and importance of capabilities statements
  • Identifying key components to include in a capabilities statement
  • Crafting a compelling narrative that highlights strengths and capabilities
  • Tailoring capabilities statements to specific audiences and opportunities

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from industry experts, participate in interactive discussions, and receive practical guidance on developing and refining their capabilities statements.

Details of the training session are as follows:

  • Date: Tuesday, April 23, 2024
  • Time: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
  • Location: Room D, Tinian Northern Marianas College Center
