Rota, CNMI — The Rota Small Business Development Center at the Northern Marianas College successfully hosted its highly anticipated in-person training, “Let AI Handle Your Day-to-Day Grind,” on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at the NMC Rota Campus. The event brought together 12 local small business owners representing a wide range of industries and skill levels—all eager to learn how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can transform their business operations.
Facilitated by CNMI SBDC Marketing Manager Roman Tudela, the dynamic session focused on helping entrepreneurs streamline their marketing strategies using accessible AI tools. Attendees learned how to create strategic social media content, generate compelling marketing materials, batch and schedule posts efficiently, and use data to measure success.
“This training was about making AI approachable for business owners at all levels,” said Tudela. “Everyone left with something they could immediately apply—whether it was a content plan, a new tool, or simply the confidence to explore AI more deeply.”
Participants also engaged in hands-on demonstrations and real-time content creation, proving that no matter the size or experience of a business, technology can help lighten the load.
Joseph Camacho, a CNMI SBDC client, shared his experience following the training: “This training has been transformative for streamlining my business operations with AI tools. Learning to automate marketing tasks and measure results strategically freed up invaluable time to focus on growth. Thank you to the Rota SBDC for this empowering opportunity—it’s proof that accessible AI education can level the playing field for small businesses.”
This training marked the Rota SBDC’s official AI session for Calendar Year 2025 and supports the broader CNMI SBDC Network initiative to integrate AI adoption into small business development across the region. Similar training focused on AI will be made available on Saipan and Tinian within the year, as part of the CNMI SBDC Network’s commitment to expanding digital literacy and innovation across all islands.
