When the world slowed down during the pandemic, Benusto M. Lisua refused to sit still. After losing his job just months into COVID-19 Pandemic, with limited relief and rising pressure to provide for his family, he grabbed three bush cutters, a rake, and an unwavering commitment to serve—Bwiibwii’s Pro. Lawncare Services was born.
What started as a humble hustle has since grown into one of Saipan’s most trusted and respected names in lawncare and environmental maintenance. Today, Bwiibwii’s offers a full suite of services, from bush cutting and tree trimming to water blasting, land clearing, and government contract work, across Saipan and the broader Northern Marianas.
But behind every mow, trim, and cleanup is a deeper mission: to care for the land and uplift the community.
“We realized that taking care of the environment is more than a job. It’s our way of giving back and creating opportunities for others,” says Benusto. That mindset has powered their steady growth and earned them recognition not only from satisfied clients, but also from the community at large.

A proud milestone came when Bwiibwii’s was named Green Business of the Year, citing their dedication to eco-friendly practices and community service. The award confirmed that their work was making more than a visual difference; it was setting a standard for responsible, sustainable business in the CNMI.
Another proud moment was when the team was selected to be featured in Common Collective: A Journal on Business in the Northern Marianas, a platform reserved for trailblazing local entrepreneurs. It was proof that their journey, which began from a few tools and a dream to a thriving business with impact, had inspired others.
At the heart of their journey is their partnership with the CNMI Small Business Development Center (SBDC). After hearing about SBDC through other local entrepreneurs, Benusto reached out and the support was immediate and meaningful.
“SBDC helped me turn my vision into a solid plan,” he shares. “From business planning and training to one-on-one counseling, they gave me the tools, confidence, and clarity I needed to grow.” That support helped transform Bwiibwii’s from a survival-driven side hustle into a structured, scalable business with vision.

And that vision is clear: Benusto wants to expand Bwiibwii’s services across the CNMI, grow into a full-service landscaping and environmental company, and create more jobs for local residents. He’s also focused on training his team, taking on larger projects, investing in better equipment, and staying committed to sustainability in every job.
Beyond business growth, Benusto hopes to spark inspiration in the next generation. “I want Bwiibwii’s to become a business that inspires other young islanders to start something of their own,” he says. “To believe that with hard work, anything is possible.”
His advice for aspiring entrepreneurs in the CNMI is refreshingly honest and grounded. “Don’t be afraid to start small. Just start. Stay consistent, ask for help, and keep your heart in it. The island needs more businesses with soul.”
From the overgrown yards of Saipan to award-winning recognition and community-wide impact, Bwiibwii’s Pro. Lawncare Services is proof that resilience, purpose, and a rake can go a very long way.
